Is There A Fibromyalgia Cure?

By Ben Delary-Simpson

My partners name is Melanie. This is her story of finding continuous relief from and possibly even a cure of – all the symptoms of fibromyalgia after being diagnosed with it about eight years ago

Hello! Im Melanie, and I have a background in nursing and Diversional Therapy. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2004. Fibromyalgia is an increasingly recognized chronic pain illness, which is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal aches, pain and stiffness, soft tissue tenderness, general fatigue and sleep disturbances. The most common site areas of pain include the neck, back, shoulders, pelvic girdle and hands, but any body part can be involved. Fibromyalgia patients experience a range of symptoms of varying intensities.

The symptoms were frightening, and I became depressed, fearing that I would suffer a lifetime of pain. Every day I experienced headaches, dizziness, TMJ [temporomandibular joint] pain and chronic pain in my neck, arms and occasionally hips. I was nauseous, sensitive to noise and chemicals. I would decline social events as I felt at risk of exacerbating these symptoms if I was in public.

I would cry if someone would want to hug me, as the thought that they might hug me a little too hard and cause me further pain frightened me. I had to reduce my working hours as I couldnt concentrate and I would be exhausted within an hour of my working day.

I no longer had the concentration or energy to participate in simple activities that I had previously enjoyed. Life was miserable, and my family suffered with me. I was frustrated when health care professionals informed me that little could be done to assist. I refused morphine-based products because of my concern of addiction, and other unwanted side effects from these drugs. Health care professionals also instructed me to join support groups.

By January 2012 I had reached the point at which I honestly thought I would try anything to be relieved of fibromyalgia. I started taking nutritional supplements, which were proven to be of very high quality and potency.

The symptoms started to reduce within two weeks of taking the supplements. Within six weeks the pain reduced. I began to have pain-free days. I found I could concentrate and that the hugs which I would be so reluctant and fearful of no longer scared me. Step by step, day-by-day, I found that I was returning to the life I had before fibromyalgia.

I was completely pain-free after just eight weeks.

At the time of writing,

I no longer have any pain or symptoms of fibromyalgia for just over six months.

I am now leading a happy, full, and active life. My medical background supports holistic care, and I am not easily impressed by any alternative measures. I understand that fibromyalgia is a complex and distressing condition; however, I never believed that I would be living a pain-free life again. I am thrilled with the wonderful quality of life I now have thanks to these supplements that have helped me so much.
